VCT's technology manipulates the natural vortex that emanates from aircraft and redirects high-energy flow to areas of lower energy flow. This reduces aircraft drag in all phases of flight. Vortex control also improves controllability of aircraft at speeds at or near stall and post stall.
Reducing aircraft drag saves fuel, reduces carbon emissions, extends aircraft range and endurance and in many cases increases payload and/or reduces takeoff distances.
